Anne Collier
Anne Collier is an artist currently based in New York. She has had solo exhibitions at Corvi Mova, London (2005); Marc Foxx, L.A. (2004, 2002, 2001), and Jack Hanley Gallery, San Francisco (2004). Group shows include Always crashing in the same car Galerie Susanne Ottesen, Copenhagen (2005); Greater New York, PS1, New York (2005); Drunk vs. Stoned II Gavin Brown Enterprise, New York (2005); Let the bullshit run a marathon, Nicole Klagsbrun Gallery, New York (2004) Likeness: Portraits of Artists by Other Artists, CCA Wattis Institute, San Francisco (2004); 17 reasons Jack Hanley Gallery (2003); Bay Area 3, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco (2002). 2006 she will be included in the Whitney Biennial and present a solo exhibition at Vacio 9 in Madrid.
Collier curated Version: Michelle O’Marah and Kota Ezawa at New Langton Arts (2004) and Black Rainbow (including Tomma Abst, Anthony Burdin, Lucy McKenzie, Aurie Ramirez and Steven Shearer) at Lucky Tackle, Oakland (2002). Her work is included in collections at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego and Los Angeles County Museum of Art, L.A.
